Underated thriller in my opinion. One of Katie Holmes better roles. Good endings are important in my book, and this one has a good one. Recommended.

Starts out unremarkable, builds a tiny bit of expectation up to around the half-time mark, and then proceeds to disappoint, but slowly.

Abandon is not terribly thrilling, which is the only major disappointment I had with it. It almost works better as a drama than it does as a thriller, as I enjoyed the scenes where Katie worked through her stresses and mental struggles more than when the darkness came and the villain jumped out from the corner. This is a film that understands college students, and takes advantage fully of both them and the institution they pay good money to attend.

Well filmed psychological thriller, the script and slow pace makes it rather forgettable and average.

In Spain was called "The disappearance of Embry", a tricky title indeed. Just an average Mystery films with almost no Thriller on it.
