Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold

The story was not at all interesting, nor were any of the thrills or action scenes especially compelling. Only real interesting thing was the blend of western protagonist in Asian settings with kung fu film sensibilities (reminded me a bit of the previous year’s Man With the Golden Gun in that regard). But not enough to make the movie stand out much. Tamara Dobson’s makeup was WAY too much, that bright pink blush smeared over most of her cheeks just looked absurd!

Campy exploitative fun! There's more emphasis on action here then in the first Cleopatra Jones film, as such the action is noticeably better but the secondary characters are all as flat as can be. Except Mr. Roper from Three's Company as Cleo's boss!

an oddity in bridging the gap between the popularity of early 70s blaxploitation and the later fervor for kung fu. produced by run run shaw it's naturally more chinese thriller than anything else. lots of HK city shots. dobson has great presence, slick attitude and cool delivery, wish she had more to do. absolutely balls to the wall action finale makes it well worth watching. also i always enjoy albert popwell...he's casual and humorous and a welcome addition to the cast
