Coffee & Kareem

Had no idea what this was until today, glad I watched it. It didn't set the golden standard for comedies by any means and there were a bunch of jokes that didn't hit... but I liked it. The jokes that worked really worked and Ed Helm is lovely as usual. Gilpin plays an unhinged person really well.

It's uneven, but certainly has its moments. Betty Gilpin is probably the most fun, but Helms and newcomer Gardenhigh have a lot of good bits. There are no shortage of jokes that fall flat, but the good definitely outweighs the bad.

Oof. This was a painful watch. It was obviously not meant to be an award winner, but even a bit of fun needs to be done right and this one misses the mark by a lot. It's lame, only has few giggles and is largely a waste of time. I give it a bit of a bump for the cast, but yikes.

OK. This one was nasty. Way too hardcore for the young actor to have to play this role. Ed Helms was underused as well. A couple of laughs but this was a big misfire for me.
