Sergei Polunin is one of the most beautiful things mankind has ever produced. As such, I would have wished for the movie about him to be a bit less of a dour BBC documentary. Still, a good variety of material (often home videos - one that particularly stands out is him dancing in the snow after resigning as principal) and frank comments by his family keep it entertaining.

As a documentary it is unspectacular, but the subject is absolutely breathtaking.

I immediately fell in love with Sergei's beautiful dancing, control of his body and personality. Feeling bad about loving it too, because of the pain it causes him. I could watch him for hours, but what I want the most, is that he's a happy person. Hope he is, or that he will be in the near future.

As an introduction to the subject matter for me, I found this spellbinding.
