A moving landscape painting in classical Chinese ink wash style. The level of a esthetic sophistication is incredibly impressive. Animation from a master, honed by decades of craft.

Now included as part of 4 animation collection DVD 'Chinese Classic Animation: Te Wei Collection' (2004) - quasi life's work summation, has English subs but they are sparse - no dialogue in this. The other 3, while well regarded on release, are not in the same class as this. Gorgeous Chinese style animation with excellent musical accompaniment and a thin but entirely satisfactory storyline - I was upset when it ended at approx 20 mins, wanted more. Totally family friendly. This animation is A+.
