Intimate Stories

A perfectly fine little film. Not much to it, though. When the game show studio camera gets its own closeup, I was hopeful something interesting would happen. Sadly, it didn't.

A tale of a chance to win a kitchen multi-processor, a dog who abandoned his owner on moral grounds, and a birthday cake transformed from a soccer ball into a turtle, spun out along Santa Cruz Province's lonely Route 3.

Top badass moment? I'm going for the workman who helps Don Justo get his dog back. True, it's probably not actually his dog and the workman does have to buy it from some guy, but considering he didn't really know Don Justo, that was a pretty badass thing to do. And there I was, thinking that all that Argentinians are heartless bastards who just want to reinvade the Falklands. I guess that's what happens when you confuse politicians with human beings. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

Remember liking it.

A tremendous film. Chicken soup for the misanthropist's soul.
