Johnny Cool

It has its moments.

Some people state that this is an early Eurocrime film but to me, this was a late-era film Noir.

Overall, not a great movie, but it has a fairly original look and sound. It might just be too cool for it's own good.

Slightly surreal, hard boiled gangster flick with a good cast - especially SIlva, who makes for a nasty antihero. Never amounts to much but it's a cool, cracked window into a godless America on the eve of Beatlemania, the Vietnam war, and the death of JFK.

Se você falar que o principal diretor de I Love Lucy, Bewitched e filmes de praia de Funicello e Avallon no meio disso tudo fez um hard-boiled noir com metade do Rat Pack e abriu caminho para o Henry Silva se tornar ícone de euro-crime, então vou acreditar plenamente porque foi exatamente o que aconteceu. Seria um grande filme se o diretor não fosse tão limitado por sua estética amena. BlurayRip RARBG.

How did they ever make a movie of JOHNNY COOL? I have seen some brainless fluff in my time and this is up there, while nonetheless coming across well in terms of look and feel, plus substantial cast power. Watching it makes me feel like a character watching a movie in some modestly more sophisticated work of fiction.
