They just couldn't figure out what kind of a movie they want to shoot.

A very weird mix of intended emotional scenes and teen humor? There are a few deep dialogues and quotes that seems almost forced into the movie. Although SWS is not a fantastic actor, I will still watch his movies in the future

:/ Olivia Thirlby didn't save this one. Elevated it though...

Crass comedy and a lack of depth that harms and drama or attempts at profundity, Just Before I Go isn't worth seeing. Seann William Scott is bad, most of the film's humor doesn't work -- and is surprisingly nasty -- the repeated flashbacks add nothing, and it fails to resonate at all emotionally.

i watched for the OG stiffler, but then i get bombarded with great acting by him. but the story is just so bad for so many reasons that it just takes away stifflers acting, dissapointing at best in total

Just Before I Go mixes puerile humour with emotionally mushy drama that borders on sincere, and I actually enjoyed it. This is probably because it resonated with me despite slight pacing issues and a few clichés. Scott stretches himself as an actor and it shows, but playing a down-tempo character that is the catalyst for drama and letting others act around him was a wise choice. Dillahunt, Walsh, and Riggle were good. Thirlby was delightful with some of the best moments.

Some comical moments & a nutty plot. It was nice to see Seann William Scott play something other than an obnoxious narcissist. Olivia Thirlby was cute but her role was forced. Diane Ladd played a sweet old lady. Kate Walsh the masterbating wife. Rob Riggle a remorseful bully. Some crude humor. His crazy quest is derailed at every juncture. Garret Dillahunt's character was not convincing. Some disturbing gay violence. The uneven dialog was mostly entertaining. The ending was predictable.
