Last Breath

Thalassophobia didn't play as big a role in this as I had wished. I hoped from the description that this film would be the greatest thing ever documented. Doesn't live up to those unfairly high expectations and therefore sits as a pretty good doc that probably couldn't have been that much better. My favorite bit was the acknowledgement that the helium voice is funny until it isn't and then it isn't again. I could learn so very much from that.

Well put together documentary, but they didnt get experienced divers to critique or analyze what happened and instead focusing on amping up the miracle of it all.

I looked up the salary of a saturation diver after this. It's not enough, even if it is considered a highly paid job. And I hope Kongsberg Maritime had a lawsuit slapped in their face for 3 redundant positioning systems failing.

Fascinating story but not told well. It dragged an awful lot. It only became interesting near the very end.
