Love Steaks

Patchily engaging romance, told with dogme-style handheld camerawork. Rogowski is very good as a shy masseur at a luxury hotel and spa, falling in with his apparent polar opposite, self-destructive alcoholic chef Cooper. Somewhat lacking in scope and never fully satisfying but does have strong moments, and some neat touches of humour (I liked that Rogowski is forever falling over). The majority of the cast is made up of non-professionals, with the no-nonsense concierge being wryly amusing.
