Mohenjo Daro

The story lacks any subtext or subtlety and is completely predictable, but it's visual grandeur and imaginative world-building helps it still be one of the better sword-and-sandals (trident-and-sandals?) epics of the past decade. Easily the weakest of Gowariker's unofficial "Indian History Saga," so far. I hope this is simply an unfortunate mis-step from one of Bollywood's most talented directors and not a sign that he's running out of ideas.

I saw the whole thing and I did not get bored just a bit. I only knew Arunoday from "Blackmail". In 2h45m the movie has a little of everything even some musical performances.

The blandest plot, utterly predictable, terrible acting, bad CGI, just three songs - all of them bad, and not very impressive to look at. Why would you do that, Bollywood?

Bad.

Historically, the movie is fairly inaccurate (the inhabitants did not call their city Mohenjo Daro) and the whole product is very cliche and trite. While the visuals were outstanding and things like the cheesy dance scenes were well choreographed, that doesn't hide the one-dimensional characters and the incredibly bland plot. It's a by the numbers revenge drama - you could predict the entire plot within about 20 minutes of the movie starting or by watching the trailer. Don't expect much from it.
