A non-winning blend of silliness, bafflement, nudity and unpleasant treatment of women. It has a strange atmosphere which could have been effective if the rest of it wasn't so cack-handed. One for completists only, I'd suggest; completists of what, I don't know.

I guess I can see what this film was aiming for - heady and mysterious erotic horror - but it's all rather silly with some ridiculous dialogue and characterization, and a plot that is not very well thought out or sensible.

Incomprehensible. Vaguely erotic. I'd pass, if I were you.

BlurayRip VXT.

This felt very much like a Jess Franco flick with perhaps more outdoor cinematography and impressive castles. Having Franco-regular Howard Vernon as part of the cast further underlines that. It's low on plot but high on mood and should appeal to fans of Franco's films. I might give it another spin if I come across the blu-ray as the picture quality on the old dvd was quite blurry. Not that the film really deserves that, but it's not too bad entry in it's sub-genre.
