If a documentary starts with "you choose what to believe", boy, someone's gonna come up short. If they'd spent less time on weird reenactments with the sole purpose of making courtney look like a seedy seductress and concentrated on facts alone, this might've convinced people there was a case to be made. This uses snippets and extracts to conveniently push its narrative, so yeah...kurt's still dead, and that's probably everything you need to know anyway.

Has a few things working against it. First, hard to divorce the film from personal feelings about whatever happened to Cobain during April '94, which isn't really fair to Statler. Second, a Nirvana documentary without Nirvana music (although clearly understandable in this case) feels flat. If you can get past these things like I (mostly) did, Grant (and all other assembled talking heads) is a fascinating listen. Competent, thorough, confident. Even though ultimately, who the frig knows?

It makes a compelling case and then spends its time spinning it's wheels and doing almost nothing new for the last half.

Soaked in Bleach (2015) covers only the icons death. And does all it can to blame Courtney Love for the murder of Cobain. They definitely establish Love as a lying junkie. But that's nothing new. But murderess....? Perhaps. Makes a good case as far as sloppy police work along with several questionable incidents surrounding the days leading up to the suicide. A speculative documentary, but definitely worth a view.

A very interesting and well put together documentary about the death of Kurt Cobain. I've learned to always ask questions, don't believe everything you see or hear and take nothing for granted. Many people believe(d) Kurt's death was suicide. However, the single and only person who made those claims was his 'lovely' wife C.Love. I wasn't so sure about it all before, but after watching SiB I find it extremely difficult to deny the true facts. Re-open the case already incompetent idiots at the SPD.
