Steel and Lace

It's fine, typical video store budget film and I appreciate the effort to add Stacy Haiduk's journalist story to pad out the plot (and has the reporter sleeps with source trope). I think Lady Terminator did it better. There was some promise when Wren rips off her face for the first kill but later kills were just edited cuts to her real face. The kills were okay memorable, such as riding a guy to death. Fav scene: the helicopter death was especially well done.

You ever be sitting there watching Robocop wishing Murphy came back and fucked Boddicker's gang to death ... Dead or alive you're cumming with me. Nice shooting son, what's your name I'm done. Whenever it cuts back to the police sitting around you can safely fast forward it.

Early-90's obscurity that I think will find a little spot in my heart over time. It's got a good bit going for it, with some fun kills & an engagingly bonkers plot. Haiduk & Naughton are pretty good & have solid chemistry, & Clare Wren does a more-than-decent job as a tortured killer AI. Certain parts seem a little cartoony, but not in a bad way really. The ending's a real downer, I didn't love that, but oh well. Overall, a fun way to spend 90 minutes on a lazy day.
