Aware that Lucy is a phony, jewel-thief Malatroff blackmails Lucy into helping him steal the valuable necklace owned by the young wife of phlegmatic American businessman Sylvester Corbett.

A professional gambler is caught cheating and sent to prison. Eventually paroled, he decides to make a fresh start and takes his niece, an aspiring singer, to Chicago. Once there, however, she gets mixed up with a mobster and winds up working at his nightclub. The gambler, unable to resist the chance at some quick money, goes back to card cheating again.

In his final B western, Bob Steele is Sam Webb, an ex-outlaw gone straight. When the Cherokee Kid is broken out of jail Rocky questions Sam. Cherokee was in Sam's gang which has now been taken over by respected townsman Oakes. Just as Rocky convinces Sam to talk, Oakes has Sam shot. Oakes then plans to lure Rocky into a trap and also finish off Sam.
