"An aggressive lampooning of British-American politics. It's often funny, occasionally hilarious, but rarely meaningful. The meaninglessness of it all may have been part of the satire, but if it was, the humor was a bit too dry for my taste. I just ended up feeling slightly depressed."
88 89% The Man from Earth (2007) - Rated 04 Aug 2013
"From actors unknown and a minuscule budget comes an original and fascinating story. The best offering it's financial class ever put forth. Engaging and compelling; watch it."
81 57% Taken (2008) - Rated 04 Aug 2013
"Liam Neeson's daughter gets snatched, so he kills every Armenian in Paris. The best of the genre since the original Die Hard."
76 27% Meet Joe Black (1998) - Rated 04 Aug 2013
"Long and emotionally wrenching. It's about relationships and mostly does them very well. The only thing I well and truly couldn't understand was why they had Death rattling off Ebonics..."
67 16% Up (2009) - Rated 04 Aug 2013
"The strong love swiftly montaged early on was by far the best part. There were some good scenes throughout. The animation was excellent and the dogs were wonderful. Unfortunately, the protracted, poorly done emotion scenes detracted from the otherwise fun nature of the film."
78 41% Detention (2011) - Rated 02 Aug 2013
"Lightening fast and mind-bendingly bizarre, this is a film on a mission to bombard the audience with stimuli and see what sticks. There are so many references you can (and likely will) miss half of them and not even realize. Honestly, words can't describe how insane this movie is."
4% Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) - Rated 02 Aug 2013
"The movie could have ended at nearly any moment without seeming abrupt. That's how slow it was. One sidelong smirk merged into the next as the scenes slowly crept by. Unless you enjoy utter boredom, skip this pointless and protracted journey into the, evidently, mind numbingly dull world of cold war espionage."
