Funny, dark, realistic. Except from some unnecessary minutes of crawling around and bad attempts at integrating some sort of plot, it's a pretty wild ride with a loots of guns.

Un moment d'égarement (2015) - Rated 26 May 2017

Decent but pretty thin on plot and rather predictable.

The Brand New Testament (2015) - Rated 15 Apr 2017

Wildly imaginative, funny and touching. It drags on a bit too long, but the superbe music and the overall styling choices inspired by Amélie definitely make up for that.

The Fate of the Furious (2017) - Rated 15 Apr 2017

You get exactly what you expect from part 8 of this dumb series. However, this one shows an unusual dark undertone that is kind of limiting the fun to some good scenes with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. The rest is total bullshit, even for FF standards.

Logan (2017) - Rated 02 Apr 2017

Although the plot is quite thin, this superbe and emotional character study might go down in history as the most intimate superhero movie ever. What a great way to show Jackman's most intense performance for the last time.

The Tourist (2010) - Rated 05 Mar 2017

Although the ending twist is absolutely rubbish and ruins the whole movie, I must admit that I was fairly entertained but should have stopped 5 minutes before it was over. Really a waste of Johnny Depp and Rufus Sewell though.

Doctor Strange (2016) - Rated 05 Mar 2017

Nice trip to Marvel's more mystical worlds. Cumberbatch delivers a good performance as always, but unfortunately the ending climaxes in the usual CGI mass destruction of every Marvel movie. But I guess that's what people want to see.

Moonlight (2016) - Rated 21 Feb 2017

Beautifully shot and well-acted, though full of clichés. I would have liked to spend more time with Ali instead of the uncalled-for third act where we see Chiron as an adult.

Toni Erdmann (2016) - Rated 18 Feb 2017

I don't get the hype around this film. It's too long, not particularly well-shot, predictable and for a 2.5 hour runtime too weak on the plot. It's not even funny or touching, it's just bad.

Oldboy (2003) - Rated 10 Feb 2017

Violent, gripping, iconic with a powerful twist waiting you to hit you hard like Oh Dae-Su with his hammer.
