(fyi: I have never played the games) I felt like this was between Game of Thrones and a teen fantasy drama--not that this is a bad thing. I liked the more feminist vibe of the show (or at least that it is exploring female characters). The one criticism I have is that sometimes the narrative goes back in time without making it obvious that it did so, leaving me super confused as to what is going on until my boyfriend let me know that we're in the past now. I am hoping it gets better next season!

First seeing this in 2020. Good god as a female this was SUPER uncomfortable to watch. There was one scene where there was a line of people queue'd up to slap a woman on board and another scene where an "automatic pilot" was groping a flight attendant. There was also a random shot of a random woman's boobs.... what? This is not funny.

As a woman seeing this for the first time in 2020, this movie does not age well. I feel like he copied a lot from Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian... which I would have rather seen again than this.
