66 53% Fall (2022) - Rated 22 Aug 2022
"It was quite okay. Overall, I enjoyed watching this. There was some moments that made me sweat out of my hands. The intensity of these scenes is a bit exhausting, but also riveting. This has a feel of stupidy over it though. The characters make a lot of bad choices, which are obviously very bad choices. Does this have to keep me engaged as a viewer? However, it makes these types of films... Wrapped itself up really nicely."
62 39% Gone Baby Gone (2007) - Rated 17 Oct 2021
"I was so mad watching this film. The main character is a person who grew up in a neighborhood and therefore knows its people and its ways. He is really upfront and pessimistic to create a notion of intelligence. I absolutely despised him. Some of the lines which are said by him in situations made absolutely no sense at all. His wife is also a totally unbelievable character and quite simplistic. The acting was really well done however; Ed Harris was great. The ending was great and stands out."
74 76% My Girl (1991) - Rated 17 Oct 2021
"Great stuff. Really makes you view certain life events through the lense of a smaller child. Generated a lot of nostalgia within me. The acting was okay overall, probably because I don't know how real childs act. Furthermore, the film had a lot of loose tropes which felt a bit too loose at times. However, this is really a minor thing. Overall, I really enjoyed this. Would like to watch this again. Vada is so cute."
60 33% Moonraker (1979) - Rated 11 Oct 2021
"It wasn't that good. A bit of a forgettable Bond movie. The whole third reich theme and the laserfights in space are too cheesy to watch. However, I really like the Jaws character in the movie. Everyone gets a happy ending. The other thing which stood out for me was the use of extremely silly humor."
67 60% No Time to Die (2021) - Rated 04 Oct 2021
"Pretty decent movie. I really enjoyed Craig as James Bond and his place in the world that is told through the last few movies. Furthermore, I really enjoyed the new "woke" references. There were a few and caused some banter among me and my friends. A lot of great action scenes and a main threat that caused a lot of excitement for me. Finally, I really liked the imagery. The main thing I didn't like was Malek. His character felt a bit lackluster. The opening scene was fantastic!"
67 60% Lena (2011) - Rated 03 Oct 2021
"A pretty decent movie, although really rough on the edges. Most of the time, the acting is decent, but this all falls flat when the acting and the script become a bit amateurish. Although I have to say that the script felt a lot more organic than we mostly see on the white screen. At times a little bit uninspiring and too artistic for its own good. The thing to take away is that life can go well if you work hard, but shit can hit the fan. This saved the film for me."
85 95% Dune (2021) - Rated 27 Sep 2021
"I really enjoyed this in the theater. A film that focusses mostly on worldbuilding. There is a lot to explore here, which is something I really like. I liked the different families with their own individual cultures which are emphasized by the loud bombastic soundtrack. Furthermore, we saw a lot of pretty scenery, sometimes overdone. The story reminded me of star wars, LOTR and the Jesus story. Lastly, I almost fell from my seat when I saw that this was the first film in a series."
53 20% Hubie Halloween (2020) - Rated 20 Sep 2021
"Quite boring, but in the end also heartwarming. The whole thing is a bit stupid."
50 17% Annabelle Comes Home (2019) - Rated 19 Sep 2021
"I liked that this was embedded in the conjuring universe. I thought the girls were cute. The rest of the film was quite bad. I don't like horror movies."
65 48% The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) - Rated 19 Sep 2021
"Pretty good. Feels like a high budget horror movie, which is not necessarily a good thing for horror fans. For a non-horror fan, it makes the whole thing a bit more bearable (I don't like stressing over scares). Pretty interesting if you like christian and satanic themes."
