"Totally awesome, so much better than the new TV series. Of course the special effects have not aged well, but the whole atmosphere is just so great and absurd, a typical 70s movie! Yul Brynner nails every scene, hard to imagine a better cast."

"Not sure about the target audience here, quite a few adult themes for a family movie, pretty graphic violence right at the start, maybe kids are used to this nowadays.. Plot is very predictable, and some dialogs are just embarrassing: should have cut at least 10 minutes. Lots of pop culture and movie references. Nice idea, but just doesn't come together."

"What a pleasant surprise! It is true that things look very much like Star Wars, but they look good, so who cares? The plot doesn't make too much sense, as usual in fantasy; the acting is decent; the pacing is good, with never a dull moment: heaps of movie fun! Pity that Disney managed to lose big money with this, so we will never see a sequel.. or will we?"
