Loud, colourful and fun, if a bit empty. Likeable cast. I'm not convinced I need to see any more superhero films for a while. Was this what James Cameron was making in Entourage? I don't think I finished watching that series. Where was I? Oh yeah, this is alright.

Arthur will have to step out of the shadows and prove himself a true leader as Ruler of the 7 Seas. He must do this between a surface world destroying the sea and the tensions within his own underwater kingdom.

DC tries the Marvel formula and the result is very much like those Marvel films: boring, formulaic and predictable. Too much CGI and too flashy. Stupid plot and bad writing. I quit watching after 45 mins because I knew exactly how the rest of the film would go and I've regrettably seen too many superhero films that are almost exactly like this. How these films can continue to make such obscene amounts of money I don't understand. Just stop with the superhero genre please.

I liked Aquaman quite a bit. I think it is one of the better DC superhero movies. The movie has some really good actors at the reins of this movie and their acting chops helps push this movie past mediocre. My main gripe with most movies that they are too long holds true with this movie. At two hours and twenty minutes, I could easy think of 20 minutes to cut from this movie. Some of the longer cuts took place in really gorgeous looking underground areas so it wasn't all bad.
