90 50% Amélie (2001) - Rated 27 Aug 2010
"DIrector Jeunet strays away from his usual dark humor to create the masterpiece Amelie. Cute and charming, this romantic comedy will have goofy smiles plastered on audience members faces long after the movie ends. The audience sees the world as Amelie knows it which creates a simple, naive, and captivating plot. A wonderful witty film that will innocently weave itself into audiences hearts."
20 0% The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) - Rated 27 Aug 2010
"Without the series maintaining a cult following, the second installment of the Twilight saga would have went straight to DVD. The installment comes in a melodramatic and slow paced package with bad acting thrown in. New Moon may have satisfied fans but any outsider will onlybe able to appreciate the scenery and Taylor Lautner's abs."
90 50% Up (2009) - Rated 27 Aug 2010
"Pixar hits another home-run with their new light-hearted, heartfelt comedy. A story about making your dreams come true, Up has plenty to offer to both adults and children alike. The script is one of Pixar's best and stuck somewhere between laughs are themes that stay with the audience long after leaving the theater."
85 33% The Mission (1986) - Rated 27 Aug 2010
"A wonderfully inspiring film, The Mission successfully interprets the impact of Catholicism on the Guarani Indians. With superb acting from both Jeremy Irons and Robert De Niro, the audience feels complete empathy for the Guarani and are able to relate with the internal struggle Irons is faced with. The Mission tells a beautiful story of redemption, sacrifice, and love."
90 50% Memento (2001) - Rated 27 Aug 2010
"Skillfully brought to fruition, Memento slowly lays out the pieces of a complex puzzle and forces its audience to intellectually wrestle with the "big picture." Engaging and inventive, Nolan keeps movie goers on the edge of their seat even after the credits are rolling due to its ambiguous ending."
70 16% Date Night (2010) - Rated 27 Aug 2010
"Although the plot seems scrambled and unrealistic, Date Night succeeds in entertaining its audience. While this is not the movie to see if expecting non-stop laughter, Tina Fey and Steve Carrell have amazing chemistry and prove their comedic genius by turning a less than stellar script into an amusing, decent one."
