Overrated soap opera. It's basically "Dallas" with people saying fuck every 5 seconds. Only the character of "Tom"is interesting.

Midsommar (2019) - Rated 22 Feb 2023
Ari Aster professes a reverence for the works of Bergman and Von Trier. He misunderstood them both., as he takes Von Trier's obession with violence far too literally (whereas Von Trier puts physical violence and gore on screen as a metaphore for our psychological travails and horrors) for instance and completely misses the mark on any sociological or religious points.

Station Eleven (2021) - Rated 22 Feb 2023
Cleverly baits its audience with the excitement of a dystopian catastrophe. But it turns the tables to reveal a very profound, sophisticated and simply beautiful musing on the power of art and representatin, its importance in today's utilitarian and materialistic society....and an incredibly powerful modern adaptation of Hamlet. Actually , it explains Hamlet to a modern audience. Masterful.

Isn't it just zombie/apocalyptic/dystopian porn ? How is it different from The Walking Dead? All the same clichés, tropes and what not?
