Undoubtedly the best use of breaking the 4th wall I've seen, and especially with what it hints at in the second season. I can't really put into words why this show works so well, but it starts with writing that is so witty and so tragic. Waller-Bridge, Clifford, and Colman play their parts to absolute perfection. I just finished it and already feel like I need to watch the whole thing again, and that's really the best praise you can give something.

Fleabag functions as a tragic clown in this mini-series, following one social faux pas with another, yet imbuing each misstep with warm, sardonic humor. While it falls into the realm of the on-trend "cringe comedy" of today, I never once found myself feeling so uncomfortable that I wanted to skip a scene or avoid her character. Maybe it is the 4th wall breaking that makes this series work, but Fleabag has this lived-in quality that makes it ok for you to both laugh and cry.

Witty and well written with the phenomenal Waller-Bridge and a good supporting cast. A very good show.

The second series is the best TV for a good few years. Possibly since the first series.

A remarkable piece of work. The central character/performance is, of course, brilliant, but so much love is paid to each and every supporting character as well

How much you like Fleabag will depend on how willing you are to be taken in by the emotional manipulation of a charming narcissist. Sure there are funny bits, but there's no sense of a developing character in Fleabag, no genuine glimmer of self awareness, no other characters who aren't merely thin props for her, in other words, no drama.

Jesus. The first season was quirky and just "okay". But the second one... Talk about a romance of the ages! I LOVED how the Priest got into the protagonist's mind in such way no other one of her loved ones ever could. And to leave that explosive dynamics hanging in the air with no hope yet neither hopelessness. "Fuck you then."

I understand why people enjoy this. It's clever and there's obviously a lot of craft and energy that went into making it. It appeals to a very specific audience. I appreciate that fact. It's good for people to have a series they can feel close to. There isn't enough of it. However, with that comes people who just aren't going to get it. I'm one. I had a very difficult time relating to this story and its characters. It made me feel like an alien. Everything seemed too foreign and unidentifiable.

The hype for this show has been immense, and both seasons of it are, indeed, nothing short of miraculously great. Though it took me a few episodes to adjust to the crudeness, I soon savored every moment of every single episode. If for some reason or other you think that 'Fleabag' might not be for you (e.g., a general dislike for quirkiness and/or fourth wall breaks) then, regardless of those suspicions, definitely give it a shot. It's simply too well-written, funny and flawlessly acted to miss.

I want someone to tell me what to wear every morning. I want someone to tell me what to eat, what to like, what to hate, what to rage about, what to listen to, what band to like, what to buy tickets for, what to joke about, what not to joke about. I want someone to tell me what to believe in, who to vote for, and who to love, and how to tell them. I just think I want someone to tell me how to live my life.

PWB has a created a fresh, funny, deep and emotional show that really stands out.4th wall-breaking is an incredibly difficult thing to pull-off but through Waller-Bridge's clever writing and fantastic performance makes it incredibly funny and it almost makes you feel that you are taking part in this story. The supporting cast is fantastic consisting of a lot of stand-out performances and memorable characters.Lastly, the things that are said about life are incredibly relatable to pretty much anyone.

Less manic pixie dream girl than manic pixie sociopath, which is more interesting anyway. I mean it's basically just Girls if Girls had focused exclusively on Jemima Kirke's character, but it's fine for what it is. I'm really not so hot on the "twist" in the final episode, though, which strains too hard for some kind of pathos that just isn't there and also ultimately comes off as weirdly puritanical. I feel like Brett Gelman seems to be in literally every show I watch for some reason.

The final episode has a twist that is beautifully directed and acted with the main characters suddenly reacting to the fourth wall camera in a most unexpected way. Considering this is a low budget series on BBC 3 it's a rare gem

This is one of those shows that flies by. I despise “cringe comedy,” but there’s enough breathing room between those moments to endure. And it’s worth it, because the raw humanity found throughout is a breath of fresh air. I love a story that doesn’t shy away from morally gray characters, and all of the prominent figures in Fleabag are individually complex. Life is messy, and this is a wonderful reflection of it. And God bless PWB. Andrew Scott as a priest is something I never knew I needed.
