Tenet (2020) - Rated 18 May 2025
The movie tries to be smart yet it is not. Nolan uses his old tricks; dynamic editing and high volume music... This time it doesn't pay off. The acting is decent but nothing special. The visuals on the other hand are majestic; I enjoy Nolan's fast paced and intense direction, he is good at this.

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) - Rated 18 May 2025
Gal Gadot is probably the worst actress still working in movies . The movies she appears are also stinkers but she manages to be the worst part of each one of them. This picture is also a piece of garbage yet the budget for the movie is huge. How is this stupid plot turn into movie and how does she make it in the movie business are great mysteries.

Child's Play (2019) - Rated 17 May 2025
It has a more believable explanation for the "toy gone mad" story but it is not fun to watch. The original version was fun to watch, despite all the vodou non-sense. I mean, they both are bad; but the original was at least fun.

Contagion (2011) - Rated 10 May 2025
It is grim, realistic, and thrilling. The screenplay, direction and acting is superb.

Mukadderat (2024) - Rated 09 May 2025
It is such an audience-friendly film that reminds me off Sultan, Çöpçüler Kralı or Muhsin Bey. Nur Sürer gives an incredible performance.

It is a well-acted, sometimes slow but mostly captivating movie.

Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) - Rated 12 Apr 2025
I understand why it was a hit back in 1979 but for a fresh-eye it doesn't hold up. The movie might be a conservative response to women's liberation movement of the 70's, and most of the hipe it get probably comes from that. However, the reason I disliked the movie has nothing to do with the political agenda of the film. I have seen better written courtroom dramas and better written family dramas. Mr. Hoffman is good and Ms. Streep is better but the direction and screenplay are not very good.

The Fall Guy (2024) - Rated 22 Feb 2025
You might have heard of cheesy movies; well now you have a chance to watch one. All the non-sence action scenes, smart-ass jokes, the forced on-screen chemistry between the leads... none of those work but you will have a meaningless fun. What a waste of time/money/effort/talent.
