A slow duel character study that is fascinating to watch for the first time. I love the use of colors, movement/sound in this & how the violence in this is not glorified and is only showed from an objective point of view; It's genius really because there's a lot of subjective interpretations of this film. I also just love the acting and characters in this, it feels elevated and real all at the same time. I am sure I missed a lot of stuff in this and I will absolutely have to watch this again!
11/25/25 (Revisit) A slow duel character study that is fascinating to watch, this film thrives on restraint and precision. The use of colors, movement, and sound is masterful; each element layered to heighten mood without ever overwhelming. Violence here is never glorified; instead, it’s presented with an objective clarity that invites subjective interpretation, making the experience feel both cerebral and visceral. The acting and characters elevate the material, grounding it in realism while maintaining a poetic edge.
On a second viewing, the pacing reveals itself as deliberate and fluid, the flow of scenes carrying a quiet rhythm that feels inevitable yet surprising. What once seemed slow now feels perfectly measured, each beat essential. And for the ending; haunting, unresolved, echoing long after—strikes with the same force as the first time, a reminder of the film’s ability to linger in thought and emotion. It’s a work that demands revisiting, rewarding patience with depth.

I’m honestly done with Asian filmmaking. Put hypnosis and incest in a movie with a twist and some suspense and you get a so called “masterpiece”. I get what the movie is trying ...
