I’m honestly done with Asian filmmaking. Put hypnosis and incest in a movie with a twist and some suspense and you get a so called “masterpiece”. I get what the movie is trying to do. The terrifying truth about who we are and the tensions between what we want and what we have to do. It explores all these philosophies but not in a good way. The thriller could’ve been so much better. I’ve heard people saying this is terrifying, which I find obscene. Give movie snobs a movie with no beginning and no end with some nice shots some “profound” dialogue in a foreign language and they will eat it up. It had so much potential and it failed miserably. Very disappointed with this one.
