Wait... Was this actually secretly a great movie? Oh absolutely not, but I had fun with this. This is honestly such an improvement over Scream 5 and Scream 6 and there's no way I could rank this lower then those two movies. This was at the very least not cringe and had dun with itself.

Scream 7 had a lot of little cracks but it was not until the last 45 minutes where this fell apart. That's a big majority of the film, but I still enjoyed this from a "So bad, it's good" type of view. I could even forgive how tracing calls worked in this because that's how it worked in the original movies.

What I can't forgive is Gale Weathers coming onto an active crime scene and pushing a cop. Even if she helped save a cop in the first place, once a cop gives an order in an active crime scene, you can't just push him and walk away without facing jail time. As for all of the other dumb shit that happens in the last 45 minutes. Yeah, I could go on and on about that but so many people had, and 3 of the other Scream movies have so much more dumb shit!

I enjoyed seeing Matthew Lillard in this and honestly, all of the fan-service stuff in this was handled way better then the other movies. Some of the characters were very annoying but at least the acting in this was good. The kills in this very pretty decent but some of the kills in the middle were just too goofy.

Overall, this was a fine movie that I have fun with. I am giving this a 6/10 because of that as well as this being better then Scream 6!
Mini Review: Wait... was this secretly a great movie? Absolutely not, but I had fun with it. It's a huge improvement over Scream 5 and 6, mostly avoiding the cringe and embracing its own absurdity. The first two-thirds worked surprisingly well before the last act completely fell apart. The Gale Weathers crime scene moment was especially ridiculous. Still, the fan service was handled better, Matthew Lillard was fun to see, and the acting was solid. Dumb? Yes. Entertaining? Also yes. 6/10.
