Scream 7

This is a fun sequel that leans heavily on nostalgia while doing just enough to keep the formula from feeling completely stale. Fans of the franchise will find plenty of familiar faces, callbacks, and references, and the film clearly understands what audiences enjoy about the Scream series.

Isabel May and Mason Gooding were the standout performers for me. Both brought energy and personality to their roles, helping to carry the film through some of its weaker moments. Their performances gave the story a needed spark and made them easy characters to root for.

The plot doesn't break much new ground, but it remains entertaining and features a nice twist that kept things interesting. While I wouldn't rank it among the stronger entries in the franchise, I appreciated that it found a way to balance nostalgia with a few fresh ideas. In the end, it's an enjoyable slasher that understands its audience and delivers exactly what most fans are looking for.
