F1: The Movie
This is a strong follow-up to Top Gun: Maverick for Joseph Kosinski and further demonstrates his ability to create large-scale entertainment that is both technically impressive and consistently engaging. The sound design and visuals are outstanding, capturing the speed and intensity of Formula One racing in a way that feels immersive and authentic.
The cast is excellent across the board. Brad Pitt brings his usual screen presence to the lead role, while Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and Damson Idris all deliver strong performances that help elevate the material beyond a typical sports drama.
My only real criticism is that I would have liked the film to spend a little more time exploring the technical side of Formula One. The engineering, strategy, and car development aspects of the sport are fascinating, and I found myself wanting more of that detail. I understand that approach would not appeal to every viewer, but it would have made the story even more compelling for me.
Even so, F1 The Movie succeeds as both a sports film and a blockbuster. It's exciting, well-acted, visually stunning, and another impressive entry in Kosinski's growing filmography.
