Sincerely don't care much about its cynicism -- no charismatic characters, just a bunch of mostly famous faces guiding us through an in-depth dive into the F1 world, from how cars are designed/engineered to the races --, because this is clearly constructed not to ease its crystal clear propagandistic mission, but actually to make it sound 'authentic' or at least watchable through functional, by-the-numbers storytelling and with a big push by a standard brassy Pitt to remind us of the alleged good old (analog) days -- of both 90s action cinema and motorsports. It doesn't go anywhere beyond franchising -- I can already picture Hayes experiencing burnout while trying to balance freelance driving for fun and duties as team manager, leading Apex to its first season trophy against a rival from the past we didn't know of until now -- and it feels bloated as hell, but the climax somehow pays off and I haven't loved a Zimmer score for quite some time.
