An epic yet absolutely nightmarish exposure of the primordial shame of violence that modern warfare might tend to bring us away from, as the penetration of flesh got substituted by the operation of fighter aircrafts from afar, and buried or reacted to as a plain fact in the heat of war talk on social media. Should we not be aware, then, of the danger of forgetting and thereby failing to adopt the monstrous depth of violence and its necessary repression, which amounts to the (necessarily repressed) condition of culture, when we enjoy the excitement of talking about NATO against Russia, strategic military support for Ukraine, and so on?
Mini Review: A journey back and down(stream) into the depth of violence, from childish pursuit of victory in excitement, to bestial and bloodthirsty frenzy, to nihilism in defeat (which always means a loss of world), and to inhabitation in pure horror that, monstrously, bears transcendent violence as the origin of cult, from which, if we adopt Freud's myth, arose culture when the absolutely violent chief was killed and sacrificed. Shocking. Potent filming and music: first viewing at a cinema is essential.
