Mickey 17
A mildly interesting idea – human “printing” – cooked together with a melange of hardly interesting ideas (anti-superhero, struggle against evil power maniacs, etc.), producing a piece of goo that’s meant to be appealing everywhere but really goes nowhere, not towards any question that could be real and genuine (about ethics, about individual identity, etc.). The (failed) threesome scene is a little surprise though, showing that the director of PARASITE (2019), a seriously serious and painful drama, is actually capable of a bit of fun!
Mini Review: The story bears so much similarity to MOON (2009). Maybe a bit too much. This viewer's advice is: just watch MOON instead - better visual, better conception, and in general, just a better film. (Review rewritten on 9th January, 2026, after watching MOON.
