it might really hit home if someone recently broke up with you. you know something that really kinda bothered me? didn't know this dude's name until the last third lol. hey, it's catchy, weird, genuinely creepy, a little too enamored of its takes on nice-guy toxic masculinity/hellish heterosexual relationships and showy framing, but evidently crafted with sheer precision and just well-shot enough -- if perhaps a bit too ugly and underlit at times, but that's fine given today's a24 and blumhouse standards for both 'alternative' and 'commercial' horror flicks. killer eerie score. meh ending. navarrette deserves all the praise and a bit more. guess i'm more of a fun oppressive scary movie guy.
