So refreshing to watch a horror film slowly unfolding on the big screen as 'just' a horror film in this era when every scary flick seems to be about something deep and poignant -- depression, suicidal ideation, trauma; not every one could be called self-important elevated horror and there is a fair amount of really good ones; but hey, there is also room for chilling out a bit. Banger original score and makeup effects. Oh, and you just can't go wrong with so many split diopters.
