*Weird backhanded comment about the Marvel universe films and fans.*

What I love about Theroux's documentaries is that there slices of life. He tries to portray people as accurately as possible (an impossible feat, I admit). He also doesn't shy away from the difficult questions.

incredibly low effort and lacking in quality when compared to his other work

Does not examine the neurological details of brain injury, but does succeed in conveying the tragic dilemmas such cases can involve. In this case, Theroux's hour-long trip does not seem quite long enough to really present the complexities of these realities and dilemmas, which obviously vary extremely widely from individual to individual. With the luxury of a Frederick Wiseman-type running time, this could have been more fascinating, although also, no doubt, something very difficult to watch.

Like Louis other health docs, his speak your feels style really highlights the disconnect between service users and the bureaucracies that are tasked with fulfilling their needs.

Is it me or are Theroux's docs becoming lazier with every effort? There's nothing inherently 'wrong' with this one but it's got nowt we haven't seen before: titbits of conversations with those suffering from and affected by brain injury (something that's so varied and wide-ranging a handful of examples can't begin to do the subject justice) with no real point or conclusion. Watching Louis used to guarantee you a glimpse into a world you never knew about, now it's just an average time-waster.
