COULD IT BE [insert hand gesture] that, hidden away from the furthest reaches of respectable scientific inquiry [pan to ruins of Puma Punku], this show piques SOME... KIND... of legitimate interest in real archaeology, linguistics, classics, & history? Some Ancient Astronaut theorists say Yes. [Insert CGI UFO over Giza Plateau] Further proof can be found by looking at the renewed interests in ancient artifacts [insert CGI glowing Ark of the Covenant], & the editing techniques... of other shows.

With absolutely no scientific backing to a single one of the episodes, this entire series relishes in it's ability to find people and carefully edit their interviews to make them sound like they actually believe in what they're talking about. 1/2 point goes to Mr. Tsoukalos for having the best hair of all time in any work of documentary television series. And another 1/2 point goes to the fact it's entertaining as shit to watch.

As teens I used to read all possible Däniken books and I think I did a couple of sf short stories based on them. Now three decades later they managed to make a document without any new discoveries on the theory. Däniken you're the ancient.

Don't take anyting in this at face value. Also see the indie documentary "Ancient Aliens Debunked" if you plan to see this. I must admit I was personally highly fascinated with these theories when I fist encountered them, but, like Darwinism, they are only fancy speculations and don't really hold water on closer inspection.

No scientific basis for any of their claims. Still great entertainment value though.
