I don't know who this Agatha Christie is but she must throw great house parties.

Christie's whodunit plot (my favorite) is still amazing. It is a very solid adaptation, but it suffers from a degree of overkill on two counts, the lush production values and the extended flashbacks. It would've been enough to see the ghosts from the characters' pasts manifest themselves on the island. Also, the crucial final scene doesn't work as well as it should. Nonetheless, there's plenty to recommend (Aidan Turner!) if you've already read the novel and watched the 1945 film by René Clair.

An interesting take on the classic novel. The acting is superb throughout thanks to a skilled cast however the use of flashbacks becomes tiresome after a while.

A BBC miniseries using Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None as basis for a mystery filled with lies, drugs and murder. Very cynical and devious with barely a likable character being invited to the mansion out on a remote island. Lovely piece of filth, though I did feel the narrative was messy enough to take away some of the enjoyment out of this old piece of classic writing.

It might be me, but I saw too many plot-holes. Disappointing.

This is a beautiful and well-acted version of the most classical Christie story.

I was certainly not expecting the killer to be who it was, although it kinda makes sense now. Or maybe it's just me trying to be as smart as Agatha. Who knows? But who did it?!?!?!

The scenes on the Island are great, but the flashback structure is odd and most of them just feel like padding. Most of the flashbacks are shown when Vera would learn about what happens, but a few are when the characters themselves are thinking about it and hers appears to be held for when to give the audience the best drama. The inclusion of the flashback in bits and pieces should say something (is she in denial about what happened?) but doesn't appear to match-up with her internal thoughts.

This was an exceptionally good adaptation , in the sense that it prudently removed the prudence and uppitiness in Christie's style and replaced it in a bit of harrowing environment that the actual story lacks. The acting is really top-notch, I really like the visual choices. The relationship of the era's British and the housemaids is unbelievable though "I'm so sorry for your loss; but where is my damn tea? Her being dead means we won't have breakfast? Noooooo....."; A climax of thougthfulness.

A cracking adaptation. Charles Dance is always good, he gets great support here.

When Christies novels are scripted as murder, crime, drama and horror and where the cast SUPPORT the script, they really work (even if the 1950's seem a little distant these days). They fail when they are treated as OTT vehicles for "stars" to ham it around with too much comedy (take note, BBC ... the recent "Murder is easy" is a classic example of a script being swamped by stylised production). This was great, and even if you ignore the plot holes the size of the quarry, is one of her best.
