Bad Surgeon: Love Under the Knife

After watching the dramatized Dr. Death, Paolo Macchiarini's story was already familiar, but this docuseries lays out the real events in an even more shocking manner. It is an incredibly sad and devastating tale of manipulation, ruthless ambition, and abused trust within the medical field. The filmmakers did a fantastic job here—this is a very well-crafted, powerful, and gripping documentary.

I'll tread lightly here because even though I haven't personally been responsible for anyone's death, yet, I have often put on the appearance of being a person that knows what they're doing despite having never been that in my life. My imposter syndrome lies closer to saying yes to a work golf outing while being unable to golf and suffering the due humiliation once on the course instead of convincing others that my surgery techniques will work but it's not that far off, and I'd argue maybe worse

A conman story. Not sure it helped having several bitter exes providing most of the information, especially since there was so much other evidence of the craziness of the medical world. Made it feel more trashy. But it did paint the picture of a man totally high on his own game. Also embarrassing to find out that the Karolinska Institute admins can get starstruck and cover-up shit like this.
