Another in a long line of failed attempts to get me to read. Nice try, Hulu.

The first not-frame story was 9/10: some crazy ass shit about gardening. The rest were 5's. They are neither poorly made nor acted, but they're disappointing because we saw those exact stories — 'Book of Blood' and 'On Jerusalem Street' — adapted in the very dull non-anthology film, Book of Blood. Fans of this style of horror (splatterpunk, don't call it body horror) are still in for a nice diversion, but returning fans will deflate once it clicks that they are watching 'Book of Blood' again

not so good

It starts rather slow, and all those noise tricks and cockroach stuff are well done; but rather annoying (You feel like "Do I really want to watch this?". In about the first 40 minutes, it lacks what makes Clive Barker's work unique when it is good; then it makes a huge turn and then it is a roller coaster in a good sense. The connections between the stories are rather tenuous but okay and wrapped up rather well. Music is well utilised and the make-ups are top-notch.

I didn't expect a lot coming into this movie but when all was said and done I liked it. It had decent and fresh ideas even if it wasn't particularly scary.
