The entire special is basically one long story. It has its ebbs and flows, and I think he strays into earnestness a little too often. But it all really comes together by the end. Also very well crafted in terms of direction and production. We're really reaching a new era where stand up can be audience-at-home focused rather than just a static recording of a live performance.

Tries too hard to be emotional at times, going down to a spotlight and staring directly into the camera while telling your story really comes off as self-indulgent. That's not to say the drama isn't interesting, just the presentation rubs me the wrong way. This might have made for a better dramedy film than a stand-up set

One of the most confident stand up specials I've ever seen in terms of direction and material.

W4E2P2S1V1M1A1R2. Shocking and unexpected, this is a broadway caliber one-man-show disguised as stand-up comedy. Can be heavy-handed and hard to follow at times, but what a treat. Pick it over any other netflix comedy special and you won't regret it at all.

His WHCD thing was good but everything Minhaj has done afterwards is the most irksome, unfunny, weak-ass liberal preachy shit possible. It's like the worst aspects of Seth Meyers and Aziz Ansari rolled into one person.

You are just a white American with brown skin, and you are not funny.
