This movie pretty much goes on to destroy all aspects of the Highlander series that people recognize it for. It's like the director wanted to give a massive middle finger to the fanbase for even slightly caring about the franchise at this point. Not to mention the movie itself is a mess of plot, acting and fight scenes.

EThis was jsut horrible...And I'm a HIGHLANDER fan. Nothing compared to the series.... Why do the movies suck so much?

That one had me dream a lot of eternity

I don't usually write this crassly, but seriously: OH, MY GOD!!! What the Hell did they do to "Highlander?" "Highlander II" is often held up as not only a bad film, but also as a perfect example of how to destroy your franchise. "Highlander: The Source" is way, WAY worse! It not only removes everything that made "Highlander" awesome, but proceeds to take a steaming dump all over it. The first movie was great, but it went downhill after that, and this movie represents a new low.

One of the worst films I've seen. It would be bad even if it didn't set out to deliberately crap on everything that made Highlander fun. The fact that it does just rubs salt in the wound. No plot, no acting, the worst visual style, horrible editing, nonexistent fight choreography and a soundtrack of appalling Queen covers. Makes Highlander 2 look like Oscar material.

This is a perfect example of how to kill a film series. The series itself was a troubled series but to lovers of the films and/or television series will find nothing of worth or value here.

Ok, so suppose that the fantasy-laden original few were realistic and completely believable to you, you know with the whole group of people who can't die except by having their heads cut off by each other and then they absorb each other's powers. Yeah, this one makes those ones look like people who think professional wrestling is real aren't pathetic.

Some bad films are just bad, some bad films are so bad they're good, and then there are the films that are so stunningly inept, weird, random and banal that you begin to doubt reality itself. Either I am a figment of my own imagination or this is one of the latter type.

"Surely this is the final nail in the coffin lid for this film series. If it isn't, then something is truly wrong with the universe."

Watchable, but primarily for the fans. Otherwise, it comes off as a fun but not-real-witty sci-fi action b-movie playing on late night cable.
