Humanity Has Declined

The show has a peculiar sense of whimsy in treating the ills of humanity in a lighthearted manner, but the humor is overly reliant on absurdity and when it tries to be poignant it loses me. Its portrayal of humanities decline is not the least bit convincing, and its commentary of consumerism is as surface level as you can get. This is made worse by how inconsistent the show is - it goes from wacky insanity at one episode then tones down for a half-baked theme the next.
