the plot has many elements not making sense, and the music was not interesting. Air time is wasted on uninteresting characters like the groundhog or the bad guy's shenanigans. Might not be kids' favourite

Another dumb as hell movie my dumb as hell Rankin Bass loving self will still probably watch again next year. But hey the kid was, well sort of entertained as he watched while playing with his trains and I got a ten or fifteen minute nap in so this movie can't be all bad.

Of all the Christmas stop-motion specials, the this is probably the weakest aside from the sequels, but I do like it regardless.
