The perfect mix of humour, action, style and autism.

Phantom Blood is about a 50 and Battle Tendency is a 75, so average them out here. David Production kills it and really deserve a lot of credit for bringing Araki's weakest installments up to a great artistic standard and style. the flair brings some needed freshness and bravado to material written 25 years prior to the adaptation. a great entry point for people new to the series, and for people already familiar, it's a lovely ride and a great indication for what's to come.

The source material is possessed of so much unhinged creativity that at times it struggles to tell a coherent story (witness some hilariously egregious plot holes/inconsistencies in later parts). Here David Production has adapted it with all the flair it deserves. Totally glorious and intoxicating, this show has been my religion since December '15.

Araki is some kind of mad genius to come up with such absurd scenarios, and then find even more absurd and improbable ways for his characters to get out of them. David Productions does an excellent job translating Araki's manga to the screen, really bringing forth the suspense and the comedy with great voice acting and music. And speaking of music, "Roundabout" is such a perfect fit for the ending theme it's unreal. An absolute blast.

First seasons are somewhat grounded. The rest are wacky but charming adventures. I wish the hamon thing was still used even if as a supplemental power.

really fun campy anime that uses old American band names the plot can at times drag and early seasons have a big chunk of gross out humor but I thoroughly enjoy this series

Bizzare indeed. Struggled through the S01 as it failed to keep my interest. Where most reviewers see ingenious, I see lazy. Deus ex machina solutions and exaggerated homoeroticism aren't really my thing. Also, what's up with shining nose sides? There must be a better way to achieve visual distinction.

A brilliant adventure summed up in a wonderful one-shot format followed immediately by more wonderful story telling. This show deserves a watch for the opening track alone, although I'm not a fan of some of the character dynamics.

crazy adventures always turned up to 11, but still goofy along the way. the art, poses, and colors are sometimes the real highlight of the show. part power ranking: 4 > 2 > 5 = 3 > 1
