S1-4. Gets less light in S4 and too tied up with typical love plots. Don't understand why Appa and Umma speak to each other in heavily accented English instead of their native Korean. Seems like a step back in representation when the rest of the show is about changing expectations of Koreans. The store customers are all fun. Janet is the worst. Appa has such smooth skin on his head. Gerald gets annoying but I love Chelsea. Sneak attack! Fav eps: Wingman, New TV, Appanoon Delight (waterbed)

(Seasons 1-4) Funny CBC wholesomeness. Plus Appa literally is my favourite TV dad ever. If you're an MCU super-fan and want to get an idea of what Shang-Chi is going be like before the movie comes out this is the best place to check him out. Does the typical CBC comedy thing and starts focusing too much on romantic subplots in later seasons.

good show. kinda unfortunate it's ending without true resolution, but s3-4 was getting overly dramatic anyways.

Light and easy (and nostalgic) viewing, requiring precious little mental energy.

I really liked seasons one and two. Some of the best Canadian TV ever, in my opinion. After that it still had some very good episodes but was less consistent, and the characters started feeling a bit more one dimensional sometimes. And the tone kept weirdly jumping from very serious to very wacky. I didn't end up even getting around to the last half of season five.
