Le Bureau des Légendes

This series is slower and more thoughtful than usual, in the French style. You have to persevere to accept the slower pace, but the story is really well-conceived; I greatly appreciated its realism and its connection to current events.

The highs are very high. The lows are quite low. Malotru is often insufferable, I rarely rooted for him, but I guess that's what the series is all about… I just didn't buy into his jesus-like death and redemption arc either. The rest of the bureau was more interesting. Except the tech guys, anything tech related was hard cringe to get through. Overall, it's well written, suspenseful, interesting, and worth a watch.

One of the best things I've ever seen.

Mostly well made and interesting. There are lots of plot-holes and things that make no sense, e.g. trained spies being tricked by cliche tactics that I (very much not a spy) caught on immediately. The show often uses cheap tricks to create drama, which is a shame. The ending was satisfying but far too predictable. Otherwise it is very good.
