Tom Ellis is great, in the beginning, but even he can't deal with the terrible writing after a while.

Lucifer himself, yes, the very same fallen angel who waged war against God, lives in Los Angeles and helps the police solve crimes. Honestly, that premise sounds so very annoying and so very network television as I write it out that it's actually a credit to the show's competence in other areas that I'm not grading it a lot lower than 45.

Very funny, and entertaining show, and mostly woman friendly, but the last couple of seasons weren't that great. Definetly worth watching the whole thing, but you'll only watch the first couple of seasons again and again.

One of my favourite tv shows! I've watched all of it multiple times, and I always kinda feel like starting again. This show has humour, great characters, amazing story... Love it! The Chloe character upsets me sometimes, and I do feel there was either bad make-up or excess of plastic surgery for the last season, which was a shame because the actress is quite stunning.

I wish it was better, because I really did enjoy it, but it really took a dip in season 4. Don't even talk about season 6, Rory is a horrible character. By the end, it seems the writers forgot everything about these characters, including forgetting entire characters. Honestly though, Chloe was kind of annoying from the beginning. Otherwise, most of the characters were fun to follow and the first few seasons did not dissapoint.

They pulled a few punches with this show, but surprisingly fewer than you'd think. And yet, it wasn't just a series created for shock value & sex appeal. The most shocking thing about it is really how wholesome & ethical it is. Arguably one of the most moral shows on television, while almost never feeling tiresome or heavy-handedly didactic. But very thoughtful & idealistic. Almost Miyazaki-esque, but slightly more real politik. Hilarious, too. Big departure from the graphic novel, however.

Only 30 for interesting concept and high production/shooting values. Special FX mostly OK Writing is poor. Series 1 some OK moments cos it has some working out of supernatural in human world. Series 2 & 3 pretty mediocre. Series 4 (new production co) again some interest, Series 5 awful. The police "work" shocking thruout - fast forward almost mandatory - so simplistic as to be plain "why is this even there". Do not waste your time. Yes concept intriguing but handling is deep as a carpark puddle.

Lucifer has a cool concept that is sullied by the rinse-and-repeat nature of network procedurals making character development frustratingly slow with frequent back-peddling to keep the show "as is". Ellis and Brandt are great. Some of the plotlines are compelling with the right balance of menacing and whimsy. The show's move to Netflix in its 4th season shows vast improvements by cutting the episode count and focussing on the overarching season plot. Now just to get a release of the soundtrack.

ger; [lucifer -- SERIE]; lucifer nimmt sich eine auszeit von der hölle und geht nach los angeles - dort arbeitet er mit einer polizistin zusammen.; (die dritte staffel wirkt in den folgen S03E25 und S03E26 sehr uninspiriert.); {Folgen S01E01-S05E16};

I'd say the most child-friendly crime show out there. The somewhat original plot is buried behind every cliche, including the civilian who, oh so easily, gets to work with the police. Despite all this, the most annoying thing for me is how bad the forensics are in "Lucifer" - the famous Palmetto case could have been solved if they simply traced from which direction the bullets came from. However, the third season kicked it up a notch and made it thoroughly enjoyable.
