Seemingly made purely for people suffering from GoT withdrawal between seasons, Marco Polo is embarrassing. The production design and Benedict Wong are the only positive aspects, the titular lead is abysmal. Of course there's an overflow of cringeworthy "white guy in Kublai Khan-era China is at the centre of everything, has sex with princesses, and gets trained by a blind kung fu master". Couldn't finish the first season.

The main character is the weakest part of the show by far. Everything else about this show is amazing.

Season 1 was disappointing and slow but those that stuck it out will be rewarded with a far better second season. Sadly they’ll also be disappointed that Netflix cancelled this series before the planned final season leaving an unsatisfying ending to it all.

Passable history drama.

Ended much too soon

I liked the setting, but the story was just so boring for me. Couldn't be bothered to watch more than 2 episodes.

A 'kung-fu Vikings' could've been fun but white saviour bullshit and a pre-trade war, zeitgeist-y sinophobia make it all really grubby.

I appreciate the boobs, but I'd rather just rewatch Game of Thrones again.
