CGI bombers firing down cliches with unparalleled destructive power. Anyone that dares to liken this to Band of Brothers needs a Lüger service weapon to the head. This is fucking A.I Top Gun in World War 2. I’m losing my mind reconciling the fact that it’s the same writer and producers. They must have had a collective illness or else BoB had some driving creative forces that are obviously NOT involved in the making of Masters of Air. Exploring an extremely violent conflict without exploring its consequences on the people who took part it in would have been gratuitous. I'm glad this series built up characters and showed emotions. Most people seem to disagree. Fine by me. It made me like it more than Band of Brothers. Incredible job making germans seem human without falling into nazi apologia. Holocaust detour was brutally heavy but necessary. The air combat scenes were breathtakingly intense. Excellent show.

To me this is another historical story that's been modernised in disguise, in order to be more relatable to otherwise bored viewers on streaming platforms.

It's so damn boring. The only reason I continue to watch it is to hang out with my brother.
